What is the opportunity?

You will be responsible for the distribution of Foreign Exchange (FX) product to UK/European institutional investors.

What will you do?

  • Work with Head of European Foreign Exchange Sales to define and implement the strategy for distribution to your targeted client base within the UK/European institutional space.

  • Liaise with Heads of Trading to ensure we are aligned in driving the business forward, delivering optimal results with clients and achieving our European Foreign Exchange goals.

  • Build and maintain senior relationships with your client base to be able to keep track of industry and client developments, get feedback on our pricing and service, and to originate new business opportunities.

  • Undertake regular external benchmarking of our performance via third party services e.g., Coalition or client counterparty reviews.

  • Market Foreign Exchange products to your defined account base with an annually agreed production target

  • Work with credit and documentation to ensure that risks are minimized for both the bank and clients.

  • Identify key target accounts and focus on a coordinated coverage of these clients, ensuring that we are cross selling the entire Global Markets platform.

  • Aim to be top-tier counterparty with our target accounts.

  • Focus on improving the diversity of the Foreign Exchange Sales team and on building and training junior bench.

  • Ensure that there is a proactive relationship with trading and strategy.

  • Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

  • Team player with the ability to integrate into the existing team and embrace RBC's values.

  • Previous experience in a Foreign Exchange Sales role in a Global Markets business.

  • Strong familiarity with Foreign Exchange options.

  • Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of Foreign Exchange products and markets.

  • Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills required.

  • Open to considering ambitious Senior Associate applicants.
