What is the opportunity?
As a Regional Vice-President for High Net Worth (HNW), you will be continuously growing a High Net Worth Home and Auto sales channel, building and executing the strategy and sales plan for HNW Home and Auto solutions. You will be leading a national team of Private Client Insurance Specialists, Group Home & Auto Specialists and Private Client Relationship Specialists responsible for building trusted relationships with Wealth Advisors within RBC Wealth Management Canada and earning the right to work with their High Net Worth clients. Also, providing overall accountability for the client experience, sales and business performance, employee capability and engagement, embedding a proactive sales culture, risk management, and ethical sales practices within their market.

What will you do?

  • Achieve superior client experience while growing the High Net Worth business
  • Lead the High Net Worth Specialist team across the country, a highly complex role that involves both wholesaling skill sets (as they work though Wealth Management Advisors who own the client relationships) and direct selling skill sets (to HNW clients with highly complex needs)
  • Build a culture that promotes effective partnering between team and other RBCI partners to ensure that the full insurance needs of High Net Worth and Business Owner clients are being addressed
  • Provide focus and clarity in establishing individual goals, driving performance management, supporting career development and rewarding strong performance across sales team
  • Review sales results to plan and discuss at weekly activity reviews and monthly/quarterly performance reviews, adjusting activities as required to meet established targets
  • Demonstrate personal commitments to ensure skills/knowledge/accreditations are up-to-date and meet position requirements
  • Travel requirement: 25%

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • College or university degree or equivalent; OTL, CIP and CRM
  • Minimum 10 years industry experience
  • Minimum 5 years Sales Leadership experience in high net worth insurance industry
  • Experience with high net worth clients
  • Combined strong achievement motivation, linked to excellent implementation skills and interpersonal skills that enable successful partnering with others, to drive results.

Nice-to-have

  • Fluency in French and English in order to serve our clients in the community with French speaking needs.
  • Knowledge of the RBC Insurance Platform
