What is the opportunity?

As a Complex Operations Manager (COM), you will monitor all complex operations activities including acceptance and distribution of clients’ funds and securities. You will coach and supervise the complex operations associates to ensure they execute functions consistent with branch, firm and regulatory policies and procedures.

What will you do?

  • Oversee the delivery and receipt of all client funds and securities.
  • Review and approve cost basis changes and communicate margin-related issues to Financial Advisors and Client Associates and then communicate resolution to the margin department.
  • Provide daily and monthly reports to the Complex Administrative Manager for review in a timely manner.
  • Partner with the Complex Administrative Manager to onboard and train new and existing associates.
  • Maintain strong and cooperative relationships between the operations associates and the offices in the complex by quickly and efficiently resolving issues as they arise and escalating problems to the Complex Administrative Manager.
  • Coordinate the maintenance of all operations-related systems and equipment for IT related projects, activities, changes and issues.
  • Secure the complex cashiering office at all times.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Minimum of 5 years of financial services industry experience and a working knowledge of fixed income products, equities, mutual funds, insurance, annuities, the stock market, investments and retirement plans
  • Series 7, 66 (or 63/65 licenses)
  • Attention to detail along with strong math, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and manage multiple demands and competing priorities

Nice-to-have

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous supervisory or management experience
  • Series 8 (or 9/10) license or the ability to obtain within 12 months

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $65,000 - $105,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements that comprise our total compensation package, which includes the following: commission sharing eligibility for select roles, a discretionary bonus, a paid time-off plan, our 401(k) program with company-matching contributions, and our health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance.
