Job Description

The successful candidate will be closely collaborating in a team, principally focused on the data, reporting and dashboarding initiatives. There you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our outbound digital channels. Your technical proficiency will contribute to delivering high performing, highly resilient data and digital solutions that are scalable with the continuous demands from Internal and External stakeholders.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, back-end developers, and product owners, to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. You'll be responsible for reviewing data to ensure its integrity for data analysis to deliver business insights and validation of hypothesis. Furthermore, you'll develop the ability to analyze data/trends, interpret results, build client KPIs, explain KPI drivers and communicate in simple terms. You will develop intuitive and responsive web applications, ensuring smooth user interactions and seamless user experience. There will be a particular focus on Web Reports and Dashboards utilizing Power BI Report Builder and Power BI Desktop. These reports will be integral to RBC IS’s client offering.

What will you do?

  • Develop web reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Research and analyze datasets and existing reporting capabilities.
  • Work in a cross-functional team and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Gather information from partner teams to validate and accurately depict insights.
  • Gain domain understanding regarding IS client requirements and product offerings.
  • Gain valuable experience as part of a team dedicated to client success.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Hands on experience with tools like Power BI and Tableau
  • Curiosity to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to analyse information and create business requirements.
  • Analytical skills to present insights out of raw data.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience working with Power BI.
  • Experience/knowledge with IS/Finance domain.
  • Technical experience in developing software applications.
  • UI/UX or front-end experience.
