Tax Specialist, Tax Preparation Services (Contractor)
How does the role impact the organization?
This role is primarily responsible for the review of Personal (T1) and or Trust (T3) tax returns of Raymond James clients. We are currently seeking seasonal Tax Specialists to provide support during periods of high volume for a duration of 1-2 months in the month of March and April.
What will your role be responsible for?
- Reviewing of personal tax returns for Raymond James investment clients in a timely and accurate manner
- Reviewing of information gathered from clients, CRA online portal and internal reports
- Reviewing of electronic working paper files of all tax documentation used to support the tax return, prior to filing
- Provide review notes to tax return preparers and ensure outstanding issues are resolved, prior to filing
- Corresponding with clients or Financial Advisors/Agents to discuss outstanding information
Qualifications
What do we expect from you?
To qualify for this opportunity you possess:
- Minimum 3 years of public accounting firm experience, with a minimum of 2 years of experience working in Canadian taxation
- Canadian CPA Designation
- Experience in reviewing Canadian Personal (T1) tax returns and Canadian Trust (T3) tax returns
- Proficiency with CCH TaxPrep, CRA online portal, MS Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Work within deadlines in a high-volume and demanding environment while maintaining a high level of service and an imperative attention to detail;

Salary Range: BC (based on Education, Work Experience, etc) $45-50/hourly
