Senior Financial Advisor Associate

The Muir Investment Team at Raymond James Ltd. is seeking an experienced Financial Advisor Assistant to work in our Burnaby Metrotown office. The Muir Investment Team is one of Raymond James’ top advisory groups who are keen to grown and serve their clients well. Drawing on previous experience in an administrative role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Financial Advisor team and outstanding service to clients. You must be a self-motivated individual with exceptional administrative skills and have an honest, dependable, and friendly nature.

What will your role be responsible for?

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with high-net-worth clients through daily communication, ensuring their needs are addressed promptly, clearly, and effectively.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with financial advisor team to enhance client relationships and support the growth of a sustainable business.
  • Deliver proactive client service by collaborating with internal departments to ensure seamless and timely resolution of client needs.
  • Supervise junior service assistants, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and within set timelines.
  • Assist partners in managing team workflows to optimize efficiency.
  • Assist in organizing client presentations and investor updates, ensuring clients are provided with relevant and up-to-date information.
  • Manage and maintain client documentation, including account applications, financial statements, and compliance-related forms.
  • Assist in the preparation and participation of client portfolio review meetings.
  • Compile and deliver comprehensive annual tax packages for clients.
  • Coordinate and manage subscription documentation for private placements, collaborating closely with the syndication department to meet strict deadlines.
  • Contribute to the growth of the wealth management business through various marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

What do we expect from you?

To qualify for this opportunity, you possess:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of high-level administrative experience within an investment dealer or fast-paced financial services environment, with a proven track record of success.
  • Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course and the Conduct and Practices Handbook.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a strong history of successfully supervising and guiding junior staff to achieve top performance.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, capable of managing complex and high-pressure tasks and overseeing team member processes with precision and efficiency.
  • Expert-level proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other essential business software, ensuring seamless performance in all technical aspects.
  • Highly proactive, self-driven attitude, consistently demonstrating initiative and an unstoppable “can-do” approach to tackling challenges.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, able to deliver clear, concise, and professional communication in high-stakes situations.
  • Impeccable attention to detail, ensuring absolute accuracy and thoroughness in every task and piece of documentation.
  • Superior ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines and competing demands, thriving in high-pressure environments while maintaining composure and focus.
  • Dynamic team player, excelling in fast-paced, collaborative environments and driving team success through effective cooperation.

Salary Range: BC (based on Education, Work Experience, etc) Base salary of $55,000-65,000 in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives that can equate to approximately $30,000 annually.
