Title: Software Quality Assurance Analyst
Security Clearance: Must be eligable or hold Reliability Security Clearance
Location: Hybrid - 2x's a week at the head office in Ottawa Ont
Duration: April 2026 - April 2027
The Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Analyst will ensure the quality of products delivered to internal and external customers. They will understand business and system requirements, participate in all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), design and execute test cases, analyze results, and report issues for resolution. The role involves various testing types, including functional, regression, integration, and sanity, as well as supporting user acceptance testing. The SQA Analyst will be familiar with IT testing tools, reporting, and processes, and adapt communication to effectively collaborate with business users, analysts, and technical teams for problem resolution.
Primary Responsibilites:
- Review and analyze business requirements and solution design
- Design and execute manual test cases; support automation testing
- Create and manage test data
- Analyze test results and report defects
- Track, retest, and resolve defects
- Participate in daily huddles, Sprint Planning, and agile ceremonies
- Follow escalation processes to resolve issues promptly
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
- Manage workload proactively
- Perform other assigned duties
Specific Project Requirements
- 10+ years as a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Analyst or similar role
- 3+ years in Credit Insurance Domain and CIS (Credit Insurance Suite)
- Experience with Agile and other software development methodologies
- Knowledge of all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking and test management tools
