This is a hybrid position based out of our North York office @ 243 Consumers Rd (near hwy. 404 and hwy. 401) - This role is 4 days per week in office and 1 day remote.

Over the past three years, Lifemark has delivered 47% compound annual growth through a combination of organic expansion and acquisition. This pace of growth has created significant opportunity and increased complexity. Rapid scale inevitably introduces operational inconsistency, process fragmentation, leadership bandwidth strain, capital allocation risk, and the potential for strategic dilution.

Lifemark is now entering the next phase of its evolution: professionalizing the organization without slowing momentum. The mandate is clear: continue growing at approximately 20% annually while strengthening the operational foundation, capital discipline, and enterprise focus required to scale sustainably.

This role sits at the center of that transition.

Role Overview:

The Senior Director, Performance & Strategic Execution is responsible for ensuring that Lifemark’s growth ambition is translated into focused, economically disciplined, and strategically sequenced execution.

Reporting directly to the CEO & President, this leader owns the enterprise view of:

  • Multi-year strategic planning and roadmap development
  • Capital allocation governance and investment discipline
  • Initiative portfolio prioritization and capacity management
  • Enterprise performance architecture and analytics
  • Executive, Board, and parent-level performance reporting

The mandate is clear: ensure that capital, leadership attention, and organizational capacity are concentrated on the highest-value strategic priorities, and that growth decisions reflect explicit tradeoffs between speed, sustainability, margin, and integration complexity.

Operational leaders remain accountable for execution. This role governs what gets done, in what order, with what resources, and with what expected return.

Main Accountabilities:

Enterprise Strategic Planning

  • Lead the annual and multi-year strategic planning cycle
  • Translate growth ambitions into a clear, sequenced enterprise roadmap
  • Align organic and inorganic initiatives with financial and capacity realities
  • Ensure strategic tradeoffs are explicit and economically grounded

Capital Allocation & Investment Governance

  • Establish rigorous business case standards for major investments
  • Govern capital deployment and initiative approval processes
  • Monitor ROI realization and enforce post-investment accountability
  • Reallocate resources where returns deviate from expectations

Portfolio Prioritization & Capacity Management

  • Own the enterprise initiative portfolio across growth, integration, and performance improvement
  • Assess organizational capacity and prevent initiative overload
  • Sequence initiatives to preserve execution quality and operational sustainability
  • Eliminate misaligned or low-return efforts

Performance Architecture & Analytics

  • Make sure enterprise analytics deliver decision-useful insights
  • Implement consistent KPI frameworks across a distributed, multi-site healthcare network
  • Improve predictability of revenue, margin, and operating performance
  • Elevate executive debate through commercial and analytical rigor

Board & Parent Company Reporting

  • Own consolidated performance reporting and strategic updates to Loblaw
  • Provide transparent visibility into growth trajectory, margin performance, and capital deployment
  • Translate healthcare operating realities into clear, decision-relevant insights for a retail-based corporate audience
  • Ensure alignment between subsidiary strategy and parent-level expectations

Executive Leadership Partnership

  • Act as a strategic partner and constructive counterbalance within the ELT
  • Bring commercial discipline to expansion and integration decisions
  • Support Operations in balancing growth velocity with standardization and scalability
  • Elevate enterprise focus and execution clarity across the leadership team

What we're looking for:

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in Operations, Strategy, or Transformation
  • Senior leadership experience within a multi-site, distributed P&L environment
  • Experience operating at scale in organizations exceeding $500M in revenue
  • Proven track record sustaining high growth while strengthening operating discipline
  • Experience working within a parent-subsidiary governance structure
  • Demonstrated capital allocation and investment evaluation expertise
  • Prior P&L ownership or senior operational leadership strongly preferred
  • Strong commercial orientation and financial fluency
  • Deep understanding of capital deployment, ROI governance, and performance management
  • Ability to assess tradeoffs between growth velocity and operational sustainability
  • Experience integrating analytics, portfolio governance, and transformation delivery
  • Comfortable operating in constructive tension within senior leadership teams
  • Credible with both healthcare operators and corporate stakeholders

Leadership Characteristics:

  • Calm and disciplined under growth pressure
  • Comfortable challenging assumptions with data and economic logic
  • Enterprise-first mindset
  • Clear communicator at executive, Board, and parent levels
  • Low ego, high accountability
