This is a hybrid position (4 days per week in office from 1 of our office locations below and 1 day remote).

Brampton location @ 1 Presidents Choice Cir, Brampton, ON L6Y 5S5 (near hwy. 407 and Mississauga Rd)
North York location @ 243 Consumers Rd, North York, ON M2J 4W8 (near hwy. 404 and hwy. 401)

We’re looking for a Director of Data & Analytics to help shape the future of Lifemark Health Group’s business operations through data-driven innovation. Reporting to the Vice President, Technology and Analytics, you will drive Lifemark's data strategy, overseeing the development of our data environment, operational reporting and the implementation of AI/ ML to drive business growth and operational excellence. We’re looking for a hands-on, strategic leader who thrives in partnership and is excited to be part of our growth story.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with Lifemark’s business objectives
- Lead a team of data analysts, data & BI engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and executives to identify data-driven opportunities for business growth and efficiency
Data Infrastructure
- Oversee and enhance the data lake
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across all data systems
- Drive the adoption of modern data technologies and best practices
AI/ML Integration
- Spearhead the integration of AI/ML solutions to optimize clinic and business operations (e.g., predictive models and recommendation engines)
Team Management
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of data professionals
- Set clear goals and KPIs for the team, aligning with overall business objectives
- Foster collaboration between data teams and other departments
What we’re looking for:
- Degree in Data Science, Computer Science or related field, MBA or advanced degree a plus
- 10+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or related fields, with 5+ years in leadership roles
- Proven track record of implementing successful data strategies in fast-growing organizations
- Strong background in data security and governance
- Exceptional communication skills, able to translate complex data concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align data initiatives with business goals
- Demonstrated success managing remote teams across different regions, ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration and reliable results
- Track record of building and leading high-performing teams
- Proven experience scaling a mid-sized company
- Experience in the Healthcare Industry would be considered a strong asset
Technical Knowledge we're looking for:
- Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and data governance
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and BI platforms
- Understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices
- Deep understanding of modern data stack technologies, including Azure cloud platform and Power BI data visualization tool
- Strong background in AI/ML applications for business optimization
- Certifications in Data Management or Cloud Technologies would be a strong asset
