Position Summary:
The Solution Architect must be a trusted advisor asking specific business and technical questions to uncover a Client’s needs and align Pivotree product offerings to the customer needs. The ideal candidate will have superior communication skills, enjoy consultative selling, and have experience architecting OroCommerce , Intershop, Hybris Commerce, Magento, Enterworks, Stibo, Informatica and/or internally developed web environments. Experience or Certification in AWS, Azure and GCP is also a must.
Roles & Responsibilities:
● Accountable for the overall technical quality, consistency, and viability of Ecommerce
hosting recommendations provided to customers and Partners by the Regional Sales Directors and
Customer Success Managers.
● Technical qualification and consulting to ensure the proposed solutions meet the business and service level requirements of the customer.
● Act as a subject matter expert (SME) during the sales process, becoming the glue between the
application, technology, design and the final solution that meets the business needs of the client.
● Translate business and technical requirements into written proposals, quote/configurations, diagrams, and master service agreements.
● Create and deliver technical presentations (in person, webinar) to prospects about Pivotree
services and the proposed solution.
● Cultivate and utilize partnerships, internal resources and strategic vendors such as Intershop, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Enterworks, OroCommerce, Stibo, Riversand and Hybris.
● Understand the role compliance (PCI-DSS, ISO27001) and privacy plays in the design of an
application and its infrastructure.
● Understand customer security needs and recommend architectures and products that meet those needs.
● Consult with internal Operations to ensure deliverables are viable and handoff solution to Deployment Service Group post-sale.
● Participate in product development. Ensure knowledge transfer and training of sales staff on our
services.
● Be market sensing and responsible for managing the backlog of “next to build” features and products for your key product areas.
● Be available for occasional travel to customers.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
● 8+ years of Solutions Architecture experience or equivalent consulting / management experience in developing Ecommerce applications, internet technologies and HA architectures.
● Strong communicator in groups and ability to lead business and technical conversations with senior technical and businesspeople.
● Proven experience with Ecommerce applications, Software-as-a-Service applications, Ecommerce
platforms, and technologies such as: OroCommerce, Enterworks, Hybris, AWS and Azure.
● Experience with Software Development life Cycle (SDLC), Quality Assurance Methods, DevOps and CICD
● Experience building solutions that meet PCI-DSS requirements
● Knowledge of ISO 27001, SAS-70 Type II, ITIL.
● Self-starter that meets deadlines, multi-tasks, sets and achieves measurable goals.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
● Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking ability, and attention to detail.
