Senior Solution Architect - Digital Transformation

The Challenge

As a Senior Solution Architect (SSA) focused on digital transformation, you will be responsible for designing and validating technology solutions that drive meaningful business change for our clients. Your ability to bridge business goals with technical strategy will allow you to guide stakeholders at all levels through complex decision-making. You’ll help define architectures that support scalable, future-ready ecosystems—selecting the right platforms, frameworks, and technologies to align with both current operations and long-term vision. You’ll advise and engage with Pivotree’s prospects to understand their business problems, shape transformational programs to solve those problems, and position Pivotree as a strategic advisor and partner to help them achieve their success. As part of the Architecture team, you’ll also play a key role in advancing our internal Centre of Excellence, helping shape best practices and architectural maturity across the organization.

The Requirements

  • Design solution architectures that address both functional and non-functional requirements, leveraging leading SaaS platforms and cloud-native technologies.

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of complex digital ecosystems, including B2B and B2C business models, to support end-to-end transformation initiatives.

  • Possess domain knowledge in Order Management Systems (OMS) and data-centric platforms such as PIM and MDM, to enable orchestration of commerce operations and unified product experiences across multiple channels

  • Ability to foster trusted advisory relationships with clients, becoming a go-to partner for digital strategy and architecture direction.

  • Ability to advise on and support organizational change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new technologies and ways of working by IT, business, and/or customer stakeholders.

  • Identify and assess opportunities where AI can enhance customer journeys, operational efficiency, and personalization while evaluating the architectural implications

  • Bring strategic problem-solving capabilities, guiding multidisciplinary teams through challenges with clarity and confidence.

  • Translate complex technical concepts into business value, effectively communicating solutions to stakeholders across business and technical domains.

  • Provide technical leadership within an agile delivery framework (SAFe), ensuring alignment between solution design and implementation practices.

  • Contribute to solutioning and estimation efforts for new and existing clients during both sales and delivery phases.

  • Actively support pre-sales engagements by shaping solutions, estimating scope and effort, and collaborating with sales and delivery teams.

  • Mentor and inspire technical teams, promoting a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and innovation.

  • Partner with project managers to ensure high-quality delivery, supporting estimation, planning, risk mitigation, and change management from a technical perspective.

  • Exhibit agility and responsiveness to evolving client needs and emerging technologies in fast-paced digital environments.

  • Drive delivery excellence and customer satisfaction through thoughtful architecture, scalable design, and a strong user focus.

  • Collaborate with architectural peers to champion continuous improvement in tooling, processes, and best practices across the organization.

  • Support the Chief Architect in advancing the departmental vision and digital strategy, contributing to thought leadership and organizational growth

Your Qualifications

  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent professional experience in enterprise technology environments.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, designing and delivering complex, cross-functional digital solutions—ideally across multiple enterprise platforms such as commerce, data, integration, or cloud.

  • Proven success leading digital transformation initiatives, with an emphasis on scalable architecture, integration strategy, and alignment to business goals.

  • Experience in AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) with demonstrable experience applying them to use cases to deliver business outcomes

  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software architecture principles.

  • Exceptional communication skills (English), with the ability to engage stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains—from C-level executives to delivery teams.

  • Proficient in producing solution architecture artifacts, including high-level and detailed diagrams, system flows, and supporting documentation.

  • Experienced facilitator of technical workshops and discovery sessions, leading clients through collaborative planning and decision-making.

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including SAFe or similar frameworks, and a practical grasp of agile architecture practices.

  • Solid foundation in software engineering, with the ability to guide development teams through design, estimation, and implementation phases.

  • Skilled in leading distributed and cross-functional teams, with experience working across time zones and geographies.

  • Proven ability to mentor and grow technical talent, fostering team development and cultivating a culture of architectural excellence.

Preferred Experience

  • Strong understanding of modern DevOps practices.

  • Knowledge of public cloud infrastructure and services such as AWS, Azure or GCP and their AI/ML offerings.

  • Deep understanding of a variety of software architecture patterns including:

    • Headless Commerce

    • Microservice

    • Layered (n-tier)

    • Event-Driven

  • General knowledge or experience with one or more widely used eCommerce platforms including

    • Shopify

    • Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2C & B2B)

    • BigCommerce

    • Adobe Commerce Cloud (Magento)

    • Oracle Commerce Cloud (OCC or ATG)

    • SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris)

    • VTEX

  • General knowledge or experience with one or more widely used PIM solutions including

    • Stibo

    • Syndigo

    • Akeneo

    • Informatica

    • Salsify

  • General knowledge or experience with one or more widely used OMS platforms including

    • Fluent

    • Sterling

    • Manhattan

    • Kibo

    • Korber
