Pinchin Ltd. has an exciting opportunity to join our Mississauga Microbiology Lab.

This is an entry level position where you will be assisting in Lab testing and procedures, prepare samples and conduct basic tests.

A Day in the life of a Project Technologist at Pinchin

• Receive Samples.
• Log Samples on LIMS.
• Prepare and send out sampling materials to customers.
• Maintain daily records of equipment.
• Operate autoclave for sterilization of microbiology materials.
• Responsible for general cleanliness of laboratory environment and equipment.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment.
• Report deficiencies or malfunctions to the Laboratory Manager.
• Assist analysts in their daily work.
• Prepare and maintain stocks of reagents, stains and agar.

What you bring to the Pinchin team:

• Hold a university degree in Biological Sciences.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft (Word, Excel, Access & Outlook).
• Detail-oriented, able to develop and maintain a highly organized work environment and to effectively prioritize tasks.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (preferably with intermediate French).
