Job Description:

We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Ad Monetization Senior Manager to lead and optimize our digital advertising revenue. This role will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize the value of our display ad inventory through direct and programmatic selling and define new growth areas to increase value of our digital properties for clients by identifying monetization opportunities for new content, ad formats, and channels.

You’ll work closely with our ad operations vendor, sales, and analytics team to execute the strategies you develop and ensure success of the campaigns we run.

This is a critical, high-visibility role responsible for driving growth in a new area for the company.

What You'll Do:

  • Ad Monetization Strategy & Execution: Optimize selling digital display ad inventory for direct and programmatic deals by maximizing fill rates and price. Define and execute on growth areas to maximize ad inventory value through new ad formats, content, and pricing/packaging.
  • Programmatic Business Strategy: Be the business partner to develop the go-to-market and operational plans to run programmatic ad selling. This includes supporting SSP relationships, Prebid and ad server setup (e.g., Google Ad Manager), and continuously optimize partner performance and auction dynamics
  • Ad Operations Oversight: Supervise an external ad ops vendor to ensure accurate trafficking, QA, campaign delivery, and technical implementation.
  • Revenue Reporting & Insights: Monitor revenue metrics, analyze performance by demand partner and ad unit, and deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Partnership & Deal Support: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support PMP deals, direct campaigns, and new monetization opportunities.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Google Ad Manager Certification, IAB Digital Media Sales or Ad Operations Certification
  • 10+ years of experience in digital advertising, with a focus on ad monetization, sponsorship sales support, or ad operations management.
  • Strong working knowledge of ad tech platforms (Google Ad Manager, SSPs, order management systems like Operative/Prisma) and key digital media metrics (CPM, viewability, eCPM, fill rate).
  • Proven experience developing and optimizing a programmatic advertising offering, including SSP onboarding, floor pricing strategy, inventory packaging, and revenue optimization.
  • Analytical skills to interpret performance data and recommend revenue-driving optimizations, combined with attention to detail in trafficking, campaign QA, and vendor management.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to drive

Base pay for US is $140,000 - $170,000, depending on qualifications. In addition, Phreesia also offers equity as part of an attractive & comprehensive Total Rewards package. Phreesia is a fully remote company; however, candidates located in ET and CT regions are given priority in the hiring process.
