Job Overview

The ERP Implementation Program Manager leads the successful delivery of a complex, enterprise-wide ERP transformation program. This role oversees all aspects of the implementation lifecycle—including planning, execution, stakeholder management, and risk mitigation—ensuring the program is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

As the central orchestrator across business functions, IT, system integrators, and vendor partners, the Program Manager ensures strategic alignment, governance adherence, and operational readiness. This role is accountable for leading cross-functional teams through business process transformation, change management, testing, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, delivery-focused leader with deep experience in ERP programs (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred) and a proven ability to manage enterprise-scale implementations across Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and other core business functions.

Essential Duties

Program Leadership & Governance

  • Define and manage the overall ERP program structure, roadmap, workstreams, milestones, and delivery plans.
  • Establish and maintain program governance including steering committee reporting, decision logs, issue and risk registers, and change control processes.
  • Serve as the single point of accountability for overall program delivery, outcomes, and value realization.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Engage with executive sponsors, business unit leaders, and IT stakeholders to align on vision, scope, and business objectives.
  • Maintain consistent, transparent communication to ensure alignment across all levels—from operational teams to executive leadership.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and foster strong relationships across functions and vendors.

Delivery Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day execution of program activities across multiple functional and technical workstreams (Finance, Supply Chain, HR, etc.).
  • Track progress against key deliverables, managing interdependencies, resolving roadblocks, and escalating issues as needed.
  • Lead vendor/SI management including contract adherence, deliverables tracking, and performance oversight.

Budget & Resource Management

  • Own the ERP program budget, including tracking actuals vs. forecast, approving spend, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Drive resource planning and allocation across internal teams, vendors, and third-party partners.
  • Ensure appropriate skills and capacity are available to deliver each program phase effectively.

Risk, Compliance & Quality Management

  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage program risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory/compliance requirements.
  • Monitor quality assurance across testing, data migration, training, and deployment activities.

Business Readiness & Change Management

  • Oversee the business transformation roadmap including process design, organizational readiness, training, and user adoption.
  • Partner with the Change Management team to ensure effective communication, training, and engagement plans.
  • Ensure successful transition to operations through hypercare, knowledge transfer, and post-go-live support planning.

Other duties as required.

Occasional travel may be required during critical implementation phases.

Skills, Experience, Education, Certifications

  • 10–15+ years of experience in IT project/program management, with at least 5 years leading large-scale ERP implementations.
  • Proven delivery leadership across all phases of an ERP program—from selection through stabilization.
  • Strong understanding of ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O (preferred).
  • Experience with enterprise program delivery methodologies (Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall) and PMO practices.
  • Deep knowledge of business process domains such as Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and Procurement.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large cross-functional and vendor teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or related field; MBA or Master’s preferred.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent program management certification preferred.
  • ERP certification (D365, SAP, or Oracle) is an asset.
