Job Overview
The Project Manager III (PM III) leads complex, enterprise-wide IT initiatives that align with strategic business goals. This role manages technology projects such as omnichannel integration, ERP upgrades, and e-commerce platforms while ensuring well-planned and reliable delivery. The PM III collaborates with senior leaders, manages budgets and vendors, and oversees risk and system performance to support scalability and operational efficiency.
Essential Duties
Delivery
- Leads IT initiatives such as omnichannel integration, AI-driven personalization, or major ERP system overhauls.
- Oversees the rollout of technology platforms supporting e-commerce, supply chain optimization, or customer analytics.
- Ensures high-quality delivery during critical retail periods where system performance is crucial.
Involvement
- Works directly with stake holders, aligning IT projects with business goals like improving customer retention or expanding digital channels.
- Works with senior leaders on the IT team to maintain diplomatic relations with the business and stakeholders.
- Ensures IT projects are aligned with business strategies such as improving omnichannel experiences or streamlining warehouse management.
- Negotiates with vendors and oversees enterprise-wide system integrations.
Responsibilities
- Leads the execution of IT projects.
- Manages budget allocation and ensures ROI through better system efficiencies.
- Oversees IT risk management, including data security, regulatory compliance.
- Provides strategic direction to teams and collaborates with business leaders to ensure technology supports scalability and service.
- Constantly assess goals and objectives and brings options to the leaders for decision making.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills, Experience, Education, Certifications
- Years of Experience: 6-8+ years, managing large-scale IT projects with cross-functional impact on retail business.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree (typically business administration, information technology, computer science, engineering, or related field)
- PMP or equivalent required.
- Master’s degree (MBA or MS in Project management, IT management, etc.) is preferred.

- Expertise in technology systems and architecture.
- Knowledge of transformation and modernization, and data-driven strategies.
- Leadership in vendor management, contract negotiation, and IT service delivery.
- Expertise in managing large-scale IT projects under tight retail timelines.
