How will you contribute?
Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Materiel Management and Logistics, the incumbent is accountable for providing material management services, advice and consultative guidance to a client portfolio comprised of Senators, Senators’ staff and/or Senate Administration personnel, for ensuring compliance with Senate policies, directives and entitlements regarding material assets.
They are also a key contributor in planning and coordinating projects that involve client office retrofits, moves and closures, as well as other projects or sub-projects for the identification and tracking of assets in Senate-occupied buildings.
The incumbent is also responsible for conducting asset inventory verifications and audits.

Open to the general public to staff one (1) determinate position of twelve (12) months within the Property and Services Directorate.
This selection process may be used to staff determinate or indeterminate positions at the same level with similar requirements.

Prerequisites
- Successful completion of secondary education or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience related to the duties of the position;
- Experience in managing assets over their full life cycle;
- Experience in providing advice to clients on materiel management policies;
- Experience in client service delivery methods and techniques to provide a high-quality front-line service;
- Experience in conducting asset inventory audits and making corrections to inventory lists;
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.);
- Knowledge of the Canadian Parliament and the Canadian political landscape is considered an asset.
