The opportunity:
We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic Software Engineering Manager who can lead and develop a strong testing team in the emerging Cybersecurity and Application Security Testing areas. The candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end software development and delivery. You will be expected to leverage Quality Engineering & Automation practices and enterprise software development methodologies to lead and drive the quality practices within the product team. You must have good technical acumen and aptitude to oversee & coach the team on agile practices, functional and non-functional aspects of testing. You will also be expected to manage the dynamics of the fast-paced environment, multitude of technology. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating resources, tuning processes in order to make quality & timely deliveries.
You are great at:

Manage the overall quality aspects of the product from functional, performance & load, analytics to web services

Help the team prepare a detailed plan, guide on estimation for a given release cycle including associated human & hardware resources.

Continuously assess the status and consider alternatives. Anticipate release risks, and work with team to perform dependency management, mitigate/resolve impediments and perform course corrections in order to meet commitments. Communicate project status and escalates issues to direct managers, program managers, and internal and external development partners.

Directly works with team in preparation, delivery of test artifacts - plan/strategy, automation scripts, reports, metrics. Analysis of data trends, to initiate and drive quality management upstream and influence change across the group. Measures the quality of the deliverable using the defined quality metrics and addresses the issues that impact the quality of the deliverable from the engineers.

Effectively drive product quality and optimizing capacity by promoting industry best practices meeting the QA goals

Able to manage multiple projects/efforts while maintaining high quality deliverables & quality

Actively involves in the technical discussions in the teams and adds value to the discussion with experience. Helps team members to set their objectives and prepare their competency improvement plan. Guide the team members by providing the appropriate opportunities to achieve their objectives and improve competencies to help them grow in their career.

Closely observes the performance of the engineers on both the deliverables and competencies. Provides the appropriate feedback (both the appreciations & focus areas) in a timely manner as part of the performance appraisal process.

Work closely with internal stakeholders Product Management & other engineering functions to cater to the product requirements by driving a sound test plan/strategy, influence product architecture/design.

Work with inter-group teams to implement ongoing quality improvement initiatives

Develop strategies that align with organization vision & objectives. Anticipate changes and implements operational plans that are achievable.

Develop & manage relationships throughout the org to re-inforce culture of collaboration

Keep abreast of latest technologies, best practices and apply them relevant to the org, Lead the change in adoption of new process / technology

Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction opportunities
What It takes:
-
Overall experience: 10-13 years of experience in software development
-
Management experience: minimum of 3-5 years in software development organization leading and growing efficient teams and managing global teams

Experience in application automation using Selenium. Should be able to drive the automation strategies for the application development

Experience in enterprise application software development using agile development methodologies like SCRUM.

Large / enterprise application development experience, leading multiple project teams simultaneously

Strong leadership experience in project management skills, people management, and problem-solving skills
-
Knowledge in Container based deployments, Devops practices and tools like Jenkins, Docker and Git

Understanding of Windows, Linux/Unix platforms

Experience in developing & delivering software using Test Driven Development (TDD) model

Exposure to Machine Learning, Analytics domains

Certifications in SCRUM, Security domain
A Bachelor’s degree and/or a master’s degree in computer science or Computer Engineering
