JCOP PAY is NXP’s leading brand of contactless based solutions for the Payment industry. With more than 800 million devices already deployed in the field, JCOP Pay has proven to be a go-to solution for payment card applications. Its versatile application range allows support for contact, contactless and dual-communication interfaces with excellent transaction time.
In its newest generation, JCOP Pay operating on JCOP 5 EMV, comes with a rich set of applets to support all relevant payment schemes as well as offering dedicated support for inductive coupling module solutions and elliptic curve cryptography. With the most recently obtained EMVCo certification, JCOP Pay operating on JCOP 5 EMV enables customers to accommodate a long lifetime for card issuance.
Position Overview
The Regional Sales Account Manager for Payment in our Secure Edge Identification (SEI) team, will be responsible for driving NXP’s JCOP engagements throughout South America. You will focus your efforts on driving demand creation activities at customers and eco-system partners in the area of payment covering all major countries in S. America. You will be part of a high performing team, that is leading and shaping our future business with a group of the biggest and most innovative customers and partners in the payment industry.
With your knowledge and experience, you will cultivate design in opportunities, drive roadmaps, and be accountable in executing our growth strategy. As a Regional Sales Account Manager in NXP’s SEI team, you’ll be part of a global go-to market team that delivers significant market growth for all NXP’s businesses by building and maintaining strong relationships within the customers and within NXP. You will leverage your knowledge of the industry and customers eco-system to position NXP and execute innovative approaches to outmaneuver the competition every day.
The ideal candidate will have a background and familiarity with EMV payment solutions, preferably a background within the financial industry, and have experience with EMV payment cards, particularly dual interface (DIF) smart cards. Experience of working with JCOP or other semiconductors used in EMV payment, negotiating contracts within the financial segment, and work with financial service providers is highly desirable. Past engagements with payment card issuers would be favorable. The role requires a mix of sales and some business development competencies and considerable travel, (up to 60% in the near term), within the region as we promote our newest JCOP 5 technology.
Responsibilities
100% accountability & ownership of NXP’s performance within the assigned area of focus.
Build demand for NXP offerings with existing or future customers by working and influencing their end-customers and eco-system participants.
Develops markets and influences customers' customer.
Creates an application focused strategy for the area of responsibility and in alignment with the Business Lines and deploys these into his/her area of responsibility.
Owns the design, deployment and execution of a winning account strategy to identify each project, device, and win every opportunity for NXP.
Identifies key decision makers within customer engineering, executive team, purchasing and establishes relationships in favor of NXP.
Coordinates extended team of Business Line (BL), NXP Management Team (MT), and Customer Application Solution (CAS) to execute strategy with speed and quality.
Identifies, qualifies, and closes all design-in opportunities.
Defines early engagement model at accounts for new business models.
Feeds customer inputs to BL’s to shape their solution roadmaps.
Coordinates globally and facilitates joint business meetings across units, geographies and drives strategy towards the BL (i.e., roadmap development, alignment of support resources).
Creates negotiation strategies for deals partnering with the business lines to ensure business objectives are met.
Identifies and captures growth opportunities.
Facilitates development of solutions with the client as a relationship, helping them design future products and being an ecosystem player in the payment segment.
Where needed provides and maintains up to date and accurate forecasts that provide visibility of the progression of opportunities in the customer so decisions and commitments can be made and met. Forecasts will be managed within NXP Sales Business Forecast (SBF) System.
Opportunity creation and management will be handled in NXP’s Opportunity management System – salesforce.com (SFDC).

Essential Requirements
Bachelor Degree Electrical, Computer Science Degree or Business Degree and relevant experience in the defined field.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
Proven track record of fast pace, high tech selling.
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
English language required with Portuguese required. Spanish also desired.
5+ years of focused account management and or business development experience.
Willing to travel as needed (at times up to 60%) locally and within the S. Americas region.
Position is LatAm, home-based with a preference in Sao Paolo, Brazil as other NXP team members are established there. Shared office in SP, Brazil also available for periods within the month facilitated by the Country Manager.
