Job Summary

As a recognized technical expert in System/Hardware Safety within CTO Functional Safety team, you contribute to the definition and the safety architecture of system safety solution for industrial (IEC61508). Depending on the need, you can be involved in certification of Semiconductors products against IEC61508. In addition, you are deeply involved in innovation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Define system safety concept for industrial projects (like, but not restricted to, BESS)
  • Define System and Hardware safety concept including requirement, architecture and Safety analysis (FTA, FMEA, DFA, CCFA, FMEDA, Data flow analysis)
  • Manage Technical Peer Reviews on project upon request from Business lines.
  • Contribute to certification of SOC / IC against IEC61508
  • Contribute to System safety concept internal assessment (IEC61508 and/or ISO26262)
  • Drive cutting-edge innovation topics – influence future SOC / IC roadmaps
  • Maintain / Enhance the Safety Culture within the company - Evangelize the Functional Safety approach across organizational boundaries and with management.
  • Actively engaged in standardization bodies and other initiatives
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required

Skills Required

  • Demonstrated technical leadership, capacity of influencing, convincing
  • Comfortable working with the ambiguity inherent in implementing new technologies, complex Functional Safety products
  • Proven ability to enroll technical and business stakeholders, including internal engineering teams and customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills spanning technical contributors, business stakeholders, customers, and executive management.

Experience

  • An intimate knowledge of IEC61508 (ISO26262 would also be beneficial)
  • 5 to 10 years developing System / Hardware Safety products for Industrial (architecting, designing, simulation, analysis)
  • Familiar with IEC61508 (and / or ISO26262) assessment with external certification bodies
  • Experience in Semiconductor development would be appreciated
  • Experience in a requirements driven process
  • Good understanding of the responsibility share across the supply chain when it comes to product safety
  • Recognized as a technical leader in his/her previous experiences
  • Desirable: Experienced with System modeling

Education

Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 10 years of industry experience.
