The Systems & Architecture team at NXP Pune is looking for a 0–3 years experience engineer to work on Wi‑Fi performance analysis, characterization and optimization.

Role & Responsibilities
1. Generate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Wi‑Fi Rate vs Range (RvR) using MATLAB/C++ models of WLAN PHY/MAC.
2. Perform RvR performance characterization and debugging using wireless sniffer logs and real-time signal captures.
3. Analysis and system-level debugging of highly integrated System on Chip (SoC) radio solutions.
4. Propose improvements for next-generation architecture based on lab observations and performance insights.

5. Lead the bring-up, setup, and maintenance of lab infrastructure.

Requirements:
1. Master’s degree in Wireless Communications or a related field (strong academic or professional background preferred).
2. Understanding of Wi‑Fi (IEEE 802.11) Physical Layer and MAC Layer is preferred.
3. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. (Exposure to embedded software is a plus but not mandatory).
4. Comfortable working with lab setup and instruments such as VSA, VSG, protocol testers, etc.
5. Quick learner with high motivation, strong sense of ownership and perseverance.
6. Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
