POSITION SUMMARY:
NXP Semiconductors is seeking a visionary, execution-focused Global IT Portfolio Lead, responsible for aligning projects with business and IT strategies, prioritizes initiatives, monitors portfolio health, and manages financials and risks. This role will be pivotal in establishing and managing the Project Management Office (PMO) within the IT organization, and ensure effective governance, project and portfolio reporting, financial and resource management, and PM tool enablement, configuration, and support.
The IT Portfolio Lead will report to the Head of IT Strategy and lead global, cross-functional teams with key responsibilities including collaboration with other functions and leaders to leverage data for strategic decision-making, operational efficiency, and innovation with AI initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
PMO Governance & Leadership
• Define and implement PMO standards, methodologies, and best practices for IT projects.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and frameworks for project execution.
• Act as a trusted advisor to IT leadership on portfolio health and strategic priorities.
Project & Portfolio Management
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects across the portfolio.
• Develop and maintain portfolio dashboards and reporting for stakeholders.
• Monitor project performance metrics (scope, schedule, cost, quality) and escalate risks/issues.
Financial & Resource Management
• Manage IT project budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking.
• Optimize resource allocation across projects to ensure efficient utilization.
• Support capacity planning and workforce management for IT initiatives.
PM Tool Enablement & Support
• Lead configuration, administration, and continuous improvement of PM tools (e.g., ServiceNow SPM, Jira, MS Project, etc.).
• Provide training and support to project managers and stakeholders on tool usage.
• Ensure data integrity and automation of reporting within PM tools.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
• Partner with IT leadership, business units, and vendors to ensure alignment on priorities.
• Facilitate regular portfolio reviews and executive reporting.
• Drive change management and adoption of PMO processes and tools.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 12+ years in IT project/program management, with at least 3 years in a PMO leadership role.
• Proven experience in portfolio management, financial tracking, and resource planning.
• Hands-on experience with PM tools and enterprise systems.
• Preference to the candidate with PMP (Project Management Professional), PgMP (Program Management Professional), ITIL Foundation or higher, SAFe Agilist or Agile-related certification, PMI-PBA (Business Analysis).
• Experience managing global teams and open to travel
• Proven success in leading global transformation programs, ideally within the semiconductor or high-tech industry.
• Strong analytical skills with experience solving business problems through quantitative approaches.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
