Your team

By joining our Czech team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a high-performance and enthusiastic software development team in a friendly and dynamic work environment. You will have the opportunity to get in contact with different NXP teams (system teams, hardware designers, customers engineers, etc.), give feedback, and propose solutions.

The role is responsible for managing a software team to deliver functional safety software components for new NXP MCU’s and MPU’s. The team consists of 7+ engineers for SW design and algorithm implementation.

Responsibilities – What We Do

  • Lead the design of software applications and components, ensuring alignment with project goals and strategic objectives
  • Implementation of professional Industrial Functional Safety SW
  • Collect and analyze architect needs on Functional Safety
  • Follow software development process and quality standards
  • Align software development plans with product roadmaps and organizational objectives
  • Coordinate architecture, design, code, and test reviews
  • Lead and mentor engineers, fostering technical growth and career development
  • Manage staffing and resource allocation based on project needs
  • Interface with external development partners and stakeholders
  • Oversee software build and release processes

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

  • Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 15+ years of experience in Embedded programming experience in C/C++
  • Proficiency in real-time operating systems (RTOS), and embedded Linux
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience with overall software development process models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
  • Deep expertise in microcontroller / microprocessor architecture
  • Strong knowledge of microcontrollers, SoC bring-up, and hardware-software integration
  • 5+ years’ experience in leading sizable engineering team (>7 members)
  • Debugging skills for embedded targets and low-level software
  • Experience with the software development processes and quality standards
  • Experience in functional safety software engineering (ISO 26262, IEC61508) is an advantage
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience interacting with both business and engineering staff at all levels including the executive level.

What can you expect?

Contract: This is a full-time position with a permanent contract.
