Job Summary:
- Diffusion Equipment Engineering opportunity is in a high-volume semiconductor wafer manufacturing environment.
- The position requires ownership and responsibility for the equipment support in manufacturing of Diffusion equipment.
- The individual must have a thorough technical understanding of the Diffusion furnaces and support equipment.
- The individual must be able to interface and effectively communicate with equipment suppliers, maintenance, manufacturing and engineering organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve difficult equipment problems.
- Experience in problem solving methods and statistical methods.
- Tool installation and qualification.
- Identifying and reducing sources of variation.
- Preventing and reducing wafer scrap.
- Ability to drive defect reduction.
- Improve tool reliability and availability.
- Improving equipment monitoring and control to reduce variation.
- Developing and writing specifications and standard work documentation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The candidate will recommend and implement procedures to monitor and improve equipment performance.
- Demonstrated skills to solve problems and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
- Improving the performance of equipment to meet the requirements of the factory.
- A strong desire to help create a positive, winning, world class working environment.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of a B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering.
- Prefer three or more years of equipment engineering experience.
- JMP or equivalent statistical analysis software.
- Experience with Tel Alpha 8SE, Tel Alpha 8SEI furnaces and AVP8000 furnaces.
- Experience with the following abatement systems. Delatech 857, TPS, Delatech 937 or equivalent equipment.
- Experience with Wafermark Laser Scribe tools.
- Experience with R2D Gemini and Comet mass transfer units.
