As a key contributor to NXP’s Electrification strategy, we are seeking a visionary and technically skilled Product Definer to lead the development of next-generation semiconductor solutions for the rapidly evolving fields of humanoid robotics, Battery Management Systems (BMS), and powertrain technologies. This role serves as a critical bridge between market demands and engineering innovation, ensuring NXP delivers state-of-the-art solutions in robotic perception, motion control, connectivity, and energy systems.
Responsibilities:
- Define functional requirements based on market trends and customer needs.
- Analyze requirements, generate innovative concepts, and document specifications.
- Benchmark competing architectures and explore design trade-offs to optimize performance, power efficiency, and die size.
- Collaborate closely with design and marketing teams to translate market insights into detailed product specifications using tools such as Cameo and IBM ELM.
- Engage with key customers, partners, and industry forums to validate product concepts and gather feedback.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IC definition, design, or similar roles within industrial or automotive semiconductor applications.
- Strong analytical skills for modeling and analyzing electronic circuits and systems to propose innovative semiconductor solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with strong cross-cultural awareness.
Experience:
- Deep expertise in semiconductor architecture and SoC design.
- Experience at an Automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier, particularly in BMS, MOSFET gate drivers, or robotics.
- Solid understanding of humanoid robotics technologies, including real-time control, sensor fusion, and power management.
- Proficiency in microcontroller architecture and serial communication protocols (I2C, SPI, CAN, LIN, UART, Ethernet).
- Familiarity with safety and compliance standards such as ISO 13482, IEC 61508, and ISO 26262.
- Experience with requirements management tools like IBM ELM.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills in a global, matrixed organization.
