Your role is specify and design mmWave/Analog high performance functional IP- and subsystems within our global NXP organization. As RF/mmWave Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the architecture, design and integration of Radar Receiver-/Transmitter Front-Ends (80-150GHz), including LNA, PA, Mixer, LO, Phase shifter, on-chip passive devices, dividers, amplifiers, etc. The radar front-ends will be integrated in a stand-alone detector- or SoC product.
Your responsibilities
- Design and integration of High Performance RF/mmWave IP’s/IC’s
- Verification/Validation of the system functionality and -performance.
- Compliance to Automotive constraints on ESD, Interference, Functional Safety
- Supervising/collaboration on floor-planning, layout and integration.
- IP/System modeling in analog design environment
- Participation in multicompetence and multisite Project teams
- IP-ownership, Technical Team management and communication
Your team
The Radar-TRX team in Eindhoven is a fast expanding team focusing fully on Radar Front-end, mmWave and Analog Mixed Signal Design. The team contributes to the NXP key-projects, working on state-of-the-art IP and is recognized by peers on conferences . All team members are engaged in a diversified team as with high energy, an open collaboration environment and eagerness for continuous improvement. The team is working closely together with sister-teams and NXP design-supporting teams all over the world.
Your profile
To be successful in this role you have:
- MsC or PhD degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering
- 2-5 years of experience with product-RF-design in (innovation-) projects for Automotive- Radar and/or telecommunication applications (Freq. Range 80-150 Ghz)
- Experience with IC-design aspects of/comparable with Tx, Rx, LNA, PA, Mixer, LO, … in high performance IC-environment
- Knowledge of CMOS process parameters/associated process blocks (40nm, 28nm, 16nm, ..)
- Expert knowledge of IC-design environment and tools like Spectre, AMS Verilog, Agilent ADS, -Momentum, ... (Cadence/Synopsys, Agilent, ..)

- Good communication skills and (wants to grow further in) technical Leadership skills.
