To support NXP's AI & Intelligent Systems a new role has opened up for a Senior Legal AI Counsel based at our Head Quarters in Eindhoven.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Monitor A.I. relevant legal developments and case law (worldwide).

  • Provide advice to the business on ethical and compliant use of A.I.

  • Work with various stakeholders to develop and deploy effective controls to ensure compliance with relevant A.I. laws and A.I. regulations.

  • Assess legal and IP risks associated with the development and use of A.I. tools and use cases.

  • Support the (commercial) legal team in evaluating, drafting and negotiating terms and conditions for contracts with customers, vendors and suppliers, including license (in and out) agreements, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, for A.I. tools, A.I. uses cases and A.I. product applications.

Requirements:

  • Have 5 to 8 years of relevant working experience as an attorney or an inhouse counsel.

  • Good communication and collaboration skills.

  • Strong analytical and research skills.

  • Being able to translate legal obligations into policies and actions.

  • Comprehensive understanding of legal and IP issues related to A.I.

  • Good understanding of software licenses, including open source software.

  • Good technical and business understanding of software and A.I.

  • Self-starter with proven ability to organize own workload with a high level of autonomy and having good time-management skills.

  • Comfortable working in interdisciplinary global teams encompassing a broad range of cultural norms.

  • Thriving in a fast-changing multinational corporate environment.

You will be part of the Ethics and Compliance team in the Legal Department and reporting to the Chief Ethics Officer.
