We are looking for a field based Customer Applications Support Engineer to be part of our Global Sales & Marketing Team. In this role you will be the primarily technical interface to your customers responsible for ensuring best in class technical support for NXP’s microcontroller families. This encompasses firstly you understanding the customers technical problems and proposing how NXP’s products can help solve the those problems. Then secondly you will be responsible, as the customer starts to evaluate and develop with the NXP Microcontroller, to support the customer through every stage of that process until they are ready to release their system into production.

This role will give you the chance to work with one the industry’s broadest & most innovative Arm®-based microcontroller that will provide the foundation for the Secure Connected Edge.

Your Profile & Experience

The ideal individual will have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and should have up to seven years of practical experience in a technical support or technical development role within the semiconductor industry.

For the person to be successful in the Customer Application Support role the additional behaviors and skills are essential.

Practical Skills & Experience we are looking for the individual to have

  • C/C++ Programming Skills

  • Experience in developing with Arm Based Microcontroller Architectures ideally with experience specifically on one or more of the microcontroller platforms form NXP, ST, Renesas or Infineon.

  • Experience in Software development based on Eclipse based GCC & GBD tool chains

  • Experience on using/integrating RTOS (FreeRTOS or Zephyr) and most popular middleware (wireless connectivity, USB ,Ethernet) into embedded software projects

  • A working knowledge of IoT Security standards such as Arm’s Platform Security Architecture (PSA) Certification Framework.
