Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with a group of senior electrical analysts and contribute to circuit analysis and debug in support of new product introduction (NPI), product quality qualification, yield enhancement and customer quality complaints (CQC).
  • Conduct electrical fault isolation using various analytical tools such as Light Emission Microscope (LEM), Optical Beam Induced Resistance Change (OBIRCH), Laser Assisted Device Alteration (LADA), Electro-optic Probing (EOP), Laser Voltage Probing (LVP), Laser Voltage Imaging (LVI) and other advanced electrical fault isolation equipment and techniques
  • Perform circuit analysis using layout and schematics
  • Translate and debug test patterns on laboratory testers
  • Perform certain physical analysis tasks including de-layering using Reactive Ion Etching, Chemical etching, polishing and milling using a Plasma Focused Ion Beam (Plasma FIB) system
  • Perform inspections utilizing optical microscopes, laser scanning microscopes, Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM), X-ray, and Confocal Scanning Acoustic Microscopy
  • Collaborate with various organizations (product engineering, test engineering, design engineering, validation team and quality organizations)

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronic Engineering, Physics, Computer and Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • GPA of 3.3 or higher
  • Must have good knowledge of silicon semiconductor device physics
  • Knowledge of basic digital logic and analog circuits
  • Knowledge of semiconductor process technology - basic process steps & chemistry
  • Knowledge of basic electronics laboratory equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, voltage supplies, multimeter)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in Test Engineering, Product Engineering, Digital Design, Analog Circuit Design, Device Engineering, or Process Engineering is an advantage
  • Experience using Advantest tester is an advantage
  • Some knowledge in circuit simulation, and in Design For Test (DFT) is an advantage
