We are looking for a Junior Thermal Engineer to join our RF-SoC Solutions team in Nijmegen. Primary responsibility will be to chart out requirements for our state-of-the-art ICs in the domain of Radar, Radio and Personal health.

• You will be working on state-of-the-art methods in Thermal Engineering of complex Automotive SoCs and Systems
• You will be working with our experts for Estimation, Verification, Validation and Management of Thermal and Power of our SoCs
• Together with other SoC competence teams you will make sure that Thermal Engineering tasks are handled as per our business creation and modelling processes
• You will contribute towards influencing critical decisions on architecture and power
• You will support a structured project approach and will be part of a team which will encourage healthy discourse and incremental innovation
• You are eager to learn on the job to expand your knowledge and experience, to raise the bar consistently
• As you gain experience there will be ample opportunities to develop and hone your skills to build a career in many cornerstone technologies
• The position is based out of Nijmegen in The Netherlands and offers opportunity to work in a globally distributed team with personal development in a multi-cultural environment

Expectations

• Degree qualified in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor or Master).
• You are passionate about Electro-Thermal and Thermo-Mechanical aspects of SoCs
• You have strong affinity with and enthusiasm to learn Digital and AMS IC design and the tools in the domain.
• You are able to drill down to the details of heat flow transfer and mechanical modelling of complex systems from Thermal Engineering perspective
• You have an interest in application of the IPs/ICs in a prototype set up and you are interested in exploring System challenges.
• Interest to develop deep core competencies pertaining not only to IP or IC but also to delve into System Challenges
• Notions about Radio Systems, Audio Processing, Radar Systems, Functional Safety will be a plus.
• Eager to work and learn in a high quality project organization, compliant with ISO9001, CMMI, and Functional Safety standards.
• Ability to debate openly on pertinent topics
