Nokia is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Materials Planner Buyer to join our dynamic supply chain team. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing the flow of materials and products, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery, and managing supplier relationships to support our global operations.
As the primary interface between order fulfillment and the factory & contract manufacturers, compelling communication skills are critical to this function. Coordinating tasks and managing cross-functional teams are also critical
The Buyer ensures material availability to point of use without exceeding agreed total cost and inventory levels. Is responsible for the daily operative management of suppliers and supply network, operative forecasting, order management, and problem solving on local or global level.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in logistics planning, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within a global manufacturing or technology environment.
- Strong understanding of logistics principles, international trade, and customs regulations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Inventory & Supply Continuity: Optimize inventory levels, resolve supply disruptions, and ensure material availability.
- Supplier Management: Execute purchasing activities and support supplier performance, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Operations Planning: Coordinate global material flows, analyze forecasts and schedules, and monitor key logistics KPIs.
- Compliance & Process Improvement: Ensure adherence to trade regulations and contribute to continuous improvement of logistics and warehousing processes.
- Day to day operational contacts with the suppliers (follow up of the deliveries, setting priorities, joining the weekly calls).
- Lead production meetings with suppliers to ensure production goals are obtained
- Resolve PO variances and three-way match audit and invoice issues
- Interface with order fulfillment to determine proper customer priorities and allocate supply appropriate to orders.
