You will be responsible to support the Delivery Sourcing team within the Manufacturing and Delivery Master Category to reach Nokia competitive market prices for both global and local warehouse and product packaging solutions (boxes, plastics, pallets etc.), both primary and secondary packaging of Nokia NI products. This category covers sustainable/environment friendly, robust and cost competitive packaging materials, packaging designs and packing services.

You will be working closely with the sourcing team and our stakeholders to support RFQ’s and commercial negotiations with local and global warehouse and packaging suppliers.

You will be responsible for the sourcing, contracting and management of the commercial relationship with the warehouse and packaging suppliers within your category. You will be the supplier relationship manager of your supplier base.

Global Category Manager Warehouse and Packaging Materials

Expert in contract management and negotiation, strong stakeholder management, communication, influencing and networking skills.

You show business acumen, are able to simplify complexity and are familiar with decision making and leading through ambiguous situations.

Expert in price negotiation and related data analysis, you are motivated by working with numbers to support and feed the sourcing processes and decisions.

You enjoy multitasking, cross-functional and cross-cultural teamwork and know to leverage it for mutual success. While you are pragmatic, curious and can manage and drive change, you are also able to ensure compliance and act as a gatekeeper ensuring the Nokia standards needed for a sustainable supply chain.

You have the mindset for continuous improvement and you never settle for the status quo but are curiously seeking new improvement possibilities.

You are able to work under time pressure against agreed goals in the daily reality.

Understanding of current used procurement tools is an asset.

Language: English.

Good knowledge of MS Office package, especially MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI is an asset.

Knowledge & Experience

Knowledge of warehouse and product packaging specifics and related sourcing is a strong asset.

Master’s degree or equivalent preferably in Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain or Procurement., Ideally 8+ years’ experience in a procurement environment

  • Holistic contract management for your supplier base is your key responsibility supported by different subject matter experts and Legal & Compliance.

  • You execute the needed RFQ processes including selection and evaluation of suppliers based on business requirements and Nokia Sourcing Policies in a timely manner.

  • You have the full responsibility regarding price and commercial negotiations with local and global warehouse and packaging suppliers, by collecting and analysing the needed pricing data.

  • You optimize the use of preferred vendors to achieve economic benefits by balancing total cost, terms & conditions, innovation, delivery capability and other success factors which makes you a trusted partner for your business stakeholders.

  • You develop and maintain the most appropriate supplier portfolio and business models for the assigned scope, with good E2E business and market understanding.

  • Responsible for the creation and implementation of the category strategy and related short-term plan as well as managing vendor relationships in strong alignment with our internal stakeholders.

  • Always searching for the best pricing and cost of ownership, quality, lead time and related service conditions by following the Nokia standards and with strong customer focus.

  • You are an expert in cost management including the analysis and monitoring of the costs, creating/proposing/implementing cost management measures and methodologies and update and maintain negotiated rates in relevant Nokia tools.

  • You pro-actively maintain and develop cooperative relationship with Stakeholders and Business Partners.

  • You support the development of global sourcing processes and tools.

  • Monitors warehouse and packaging suppliers’ performance & compliance and creates development plans whenever appropriate.
