The objective of Nokia’s Geopolitical and Government Relations team is to advance our global leadership in secure, innovative connectivity and data infrastructure by shaping public policy and regulation, building strategic government and industry partnerships, and leveraging geopolitical trends and opportunities.

To further strengthen our Government Relations impact in Europe, we are looking for a Head of Geopolitical and Government Relations, West and Southern European countries (WSE), with a focus on Belgium, France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Spain.

Join Nokia's Geopolitical and Government Relations team as the Head for West and Southern Europe, where you'll lead initiatives that influence public policy and position Nokia as a trusted partner for governments across the region. Collaborate with experts to navigate geopolitical trends and drive trusted connectivity.
  • Master’s degree in Public Policy or EU Politics
  • Experience working with EU institutions (especially the EU Council and Capitals) or in a comparable private sector role
  • Ability to build and maintain strong governmental and industry relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proven ability to manage confidential information and projects
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance in the EU
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and influence strategies

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with telecommunications industry trends and regulations
  • Multilingual proficiency beyond fluent English
  • Proven adaptability in dynamic and complex work environments

  • Driving policy and funding frameworks across WSE markets that advance Nokia’s strategic priorities, working with local teams.
  • Positioning Nokia as the trusted partner strengthening relationships with national government stakeholders.
  • Leveraging a strong Country Senior Officer (CSO) network, coordinating GGR strategy across WSE and ensuring impactful representation before national decision makers.
  • Orchestrating strategic engagements with national governments and diplomatic channels.
  • Designing and implementing targeted executive engagement plans.

The role will work closely together with other GGR team members as well with Nokia country teams.
