The Head of Workstation & Devices owns the global strategy, roadmap, and execution of Nokia’s endpoint landscape, covering device management for PCs and mobile devices, virtualization platforms, software management and distribution, platform support for Linux and Mac and hardware management.
This senior leader ensures stable, secure, and cost-efficient delivery of all workstation related services, aligned with business needs, enterprise architecture, and long-term UX goals.
The role drives high performing teams, supplier governance, modernization, and transformation across a complex global ecosystem.

Own and drive the global strategy, roadmap, and execution of Nokia’s endpoint landscape, covering PCs, mobile devices, virtualization platforms, and software management.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Professional Experience
- 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and IT operations.
- 5+ years in IT infrastructure leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing global end-user computing services in large enterprises.
- Demonstrated experience managing multivendor environments, including service levels, KPIs, and contractual performance.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of endpoint technologies, modern device management, hardware lifecycles, VDI, security standards, and related IT infrastructure.
- Deep expertise with Microsoft endpoint tooling (Intune, SCCM) and enterprise device platforms (Windows, macOS, Mobile).
- Hands on experience with ServiceNow and digital workplace technologies.
- Strong understanding of the Nokia IT vendor ecosystem and commercial frameworks (advantage).
Leadership & Behavioral Skills
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams toward shared objectives.
- Strong communication skills, including presenting to senior and executive leadership.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to operationalize plans at scale.
- High degree of collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities.

Operational Excellence & Service Ownership
- Ensure smooth, professional, and responsive IT operations across Modern Device Management (Windows, Mac, Mobile), Legacy Device Management, VDI, Software Management & Distribution and Hardware Catalogue Management in strong alignment with the End-to-End User support function.
- Deliver stable day today operations, high service availability, and strong end-user experience across all services in scope.
- Oversee execution of improvements, lifecycle management, and the evergreen posture of endpoint platforms.
Strategic Roadmap & Transformation
- Define and evolve the technology roadmap for PCs, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and VDI environments in alignment with enterprise architecture and Nokia’s digital workplace strategy.
- Ensure roadmap and service evolution support business objectives, productivity, and security requirements.
- Track technology trends, evaluate emerging technologies, and define how they should be adopted or integrated.
Leadership & People Development
- Lead and develop a diverse global team of Service Owners, Architects, and Engineers; build a culture of ownership, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor senior experts and build leadership succession for critical areas.
- Foster strong collaboration across business units, Digital Office teams, Security, and global IT partners.
Financial Management & Governance
- Own operational budgets for services in scope; ensure forecast accuracy and drive cost optimization measures.
- Manage a large vendor and partner ecosystem through strong governance, performance management, and contractual alignment.
Cross Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Forge strong partnerships with internal stakeholders across Nokia to understand requirements and ensure service alignment.
- Represent Workstation & Devices in cross organizational initiatives, transformation programs, and escalations.
- Provide expert consultation for complex projects, ensuring compliance with standards and enterprise architecture.
