System Simulation Engineer

We are looking for an algorithm-motivated person/ simulation engineer with an interest in Layer 1 (L1) algorithms (OSI 7-layer model), from system level all the way to L1 architecture and specification of 3GPP - mobile broadband standard. You will be located in Amadora, Portugal, working within a global team and helping to ramp up a new system simulation team.

You have:
- Master or above, major in Telecommunication, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related
- Background on wireless/ telecom systems
- Skills in programming in MATLAB
- 1 to 2 years of experience in L1 transceiver algorithms
- Strong team working skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Fluency in English
It would be nice if you also had:
- Knowledge of 3GPP standardization documentation, processes, and forums
- Understanding of L1 algorithms
- Knowledge of L1 SoC chipset and chip-level architecture
- Background in communications theory and signal processing
- Algorithm definition and optimization
- Modeling the algorithms/ functionalities in link level simulator
- Perform technical reviews including documenting
- Helping to ramp up a new team and guiding other team members
- Contributions to L1 Architecture
