Working Student is a long-term paid internship, that allows you to kickstart your fabulous journey in the IT and Telecom world. As our Trainee you can have experience working in such areas that correspond to full-time engineering jobs. The internship usually lasts from 6 to 24 months. Location: Wroclaw or Krakow

Our team develops the Simics platform – an advanced virtualization environment that enables running real software on simulated hardware. This allows Nokia engineers to design and test new radio solutions even before physical prototypes are built, significantly reducing time to market.

As an intern, you will help create a tool that forms the foundation of the virtual development process at one of the world's largest telecommunications companies.

Join us as a Simics Developer - Working Student. You will have a opportunity to help create a tool that forms the foundation of the virtual development process at one of the world's largest telecommunications companies.

Must-Have:

  • Active student status (for at least one year)
  • Good English, both spoken and written
  • Possibility to a hybrid work from Wroclaw/Krakow office
  • Strong basic knowledge and basic experience of C++ and Python programming.
  • Strong basic knowledge and basic experience of Linux as a user.
  • Understanding of embedded systems designs and firmware development.
  • Self-confident, proactive approach (like: searching required knowledge, digging into specification).

Nice-to-Have:

  • Test Driven Development experience.
  • Practical usage of AI programing tools.
  • Basic knowledge in electronics and signal processing.
  • Basic of Linux and/or RTOS (like ZephyrOS) development.

  • Learn Simics and later assist Developers in daily work
  • Learn and use the DML (Device Modeling Language), Python and C++ for modeling simple hardware devices
  • Support the team in solving basic engineering problems with guidance from senior engineers
  • Contribute to writing and executing automated tests to ensure software quality
  • Participate in code reviews and peer discussions to improve your technical skills
