The Quality assurance engineer integrates, verifies, tests, modifies SW test components and capitalises on innovative solutions to meet particular requirements and specifications.

Your skills and experience

  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Broad interest in the Telecom sector and conceptual knowledge of networks and considerable experience in Software Development.
  • Proven ability to work with others to meet common objectives and customer expectations.
  • Excellence in: Planning, communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and problem solving.
  • Process focused. Passion to explore and work on the new technologies.
  • Can identify improvement opportunities and implement necessary changes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, being able to work in multi-national and multi-site environment.


Technical skills & preferred qualifications

  • Basic Networking knowledge and networking protocols, knowledge of Ethernet, L2/L3, TCP/UDP/TLS. PON or DSL knowledge will be a plus. Netconf/Yang knowledge is not mandatory, but an asset.
  • Be capable of designing and developing automated tests to validate network and device management protocols like RADIUS, TACACS+, SSH, DHCP, DNS, NTP, Syslog, etc.
  • Good working knowledge of software testing (functional, regression and/or non-functional testing) and experience in test design, test bed preparation/setup, test execution & reporting.
  • Automation with Robot/Python/TCL desirable along with good debugging skills. Any hands-on experience with any of the traffic generators will be a plus.
  • Mercurial (or git) SCM & build development and Linux OS and its deployment in virtual environments. Docker is an asset for host simulation.
  • Familiar with CI/CD (continuous integration/delivery), Release automation (Jenkins, etc), system administration, system configuration, and system debugging experience. Be able to generate detailed reports, logs, and metrics for protocol compliance, performance, and failure analysis.

  • Works effectively in a mixed environment and uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
  • Joins a Scrum Team that owns a defined functional area with target to translate customer or internal requirements to tangible deliverables
  • Analyses, designs and develops test use-cases in order to tests products / services / improvements / bug resolutions for integrated hardware / software systems as per customers' requirements.
  • Tests functional and non-functional technical requirements from customers’ needs and integrated the test automation scripts in product's continuous integration framework
  • Has in-depth business knowledge and uses understanding of how relevant areas integrate to achieve objectives.
  • Uses advanced analytical skills to solve complex problems or problems that do not have routine solutions and takes a new perspective.
  • Applies and maintains quality standards. Participates in process and tools evolutions and improvements.
