All North America job posts will post for a minimum of 3 calendar days and up to 180 days or until candidate/s identified.

This is a great opportunity to be part of Nokia’s HW Engineering team, where you will perform Carbon Footprint Assessments for many of Nokia’s cutting-edge telecommunication products. Using s/w tool to scrub out Bill Of Materials and filter component packages vs quantity. This hands-on experience will strengthen your technical skills and expose you to real-world product development.
  • Currently a candidate for a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.
  • Electrical Engineering skills
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills
  • The ability to ask questions and express your ideas and point of view clearly is KEY

It would be nice if you also had:

  • General knowledge of Telecom products
  • Experience with Java and C programming

As a part of our team, you will:

  • Perform Carbon Footprint Assessments for many Nokia products
  • Print Circuit Boards, Power Supply Assemblies, Fan Tray Assemblies
  • Create a s/w tool to scrub out Bill Of Materials and filter component packages vs quantity
  • Filter some part numbers
  • Learn how to use an SMT approximation tool
  • Learn how to solder
