All North America job posts will post for a minimum of 3 calendar days and up to 180 days or until candidate/s identified.

This is a great opportunity to be part of Nokia’s Mechanical Engineering team, where you will assist in analyzing and documenting material properties used in Nokia’s cutting-edge telecommunication products. Using 3D software and MS Office tools, you will support experienced mechanical engineers in daily activities, including lab assembly of prototypes and hardware documentation. Your working knowledge of PTC Pro/Engineer will be key in developing practical solutions that our mechanical and electrical engineering teams can continue to leverage beyond your term. This hands-on experience will strengthen your technical skills and expose you to real-world product development.
  • Currently a candidate for a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.
  • Working knowledge of the PTC Pro-Engineer tool is an asset.
  • Experience with electronics packaging is an asset.
  • Self-driven, proactive team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.

As a part of our team, you will:

  • Assist mechanical engineers in reviewing and documenting all material properties in Nokia telecommunication products using 3D software and MS Office tools.
  • Work alongside mechanical engineering professionals on day-to-day tasks, including in-lab assembly of prototypes and preparing HW documents.
  • Contribute to the development of software tools that mechanical and electrical engineers can continue to use after your term ends.
  • Support Mechanical Engineers by creating and reviewing mechanical fabrication and assembly drawings for both internal and external customers.
  • Develop piece part designs and assemblies with guidance and direction in sheet metal, plastic, cast, extrusions, including fabrication techniques and tolerance analysis.
