As a Mfg Test Technical Procurement Specialist at Nokia, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing and coordinating the necessary equipment and technician resources for our test station construction and labor scheduling. Your expertise in technical procurement will directly influence the efficiency and effectiveness of our NI Optical manufacturing team, ultimately driving growth and revenue. This unique position allows you to make a significant impact on our business success by ensuring that our testing capabilities are optimized, enabling us to deliver top-quality optical solutions to our customers and push the boundaries of innovation in the industry.
Education
· 2 year technical, supply chain or business degree preferred
Experience
· Minimum 3 years experience in a Lab or Manufacturing environment
· Prefer some experience with electronics and/or optics
Skills
· Excel (basic formulas, conditional formatting)
· Power Point (basic slides to convey status)
· MS Project (basic project tracking)
· Excellent Verbal skills
· Excellent Organization skills
· Strong attention to details
Technical Buyer
· Using an Excel Equipment BOM, procure, track, and organize equipment needed to build manufacturing test sets
· Consult with Test Engineers to obtain clarity on bill of materials
· Where possible, reduce costs by exploring the used equipment market
Test Set Construction Planner
· Understand customer delivery requirements
· Schedule test set construction for multiple internal customers
· Coordinate with technicians building the equipment to keep projects on track
· Solve critical build issues as they occur
· Lead interactions with suppliers and negotiate best pricing
