As a Technical Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of the new products and new functionalities of the existing ones. Your responsibilities will include the management of projects from the inception phase to the closing one. You will interact with most of the Business Group stakeholders from the Product Line Management to the Supply Chain responsible and the whole R&D organization. You will generate the regular reporting towards both Business management and Senior BG management.

The Technical Project Manager manages the development and implementation process of a company's products and services. Coordinates departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products. Monitors the project from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget / spending. Organises cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project ie product on schedule and within budget constraints. This role is most common in a matrix type organisation; it does not have responsibility over product development, but often requires a strong technical background in order to complete its overall project management responsibility.

You have:

  • Graduate or Postgraduate in Engineering with a strong background in telecommunications, networking, or related fields. You’re proficient in in English both orally and in writing

  • 5+ years of experience in managing medium to large scale project according to the PMI way of working

  • Great analytical skills to identify, analyse and report project risks and elaborate mitigation measures

  • Soft skills like communication, leadership and problem-solving mindset are key for this position

It would be nice if you also had:

  • A project management certification, like PMP

  • Already worked in an Agile methodology development environment

  • Experience in a worldwide organization spread across multiple time zones and culture

  • Familiarities with the PoL, xPON, NetconfYang and automation industry-standard related to the fixed networks.


  • Leads key and less complex projects that positively contribute to business or operation impact such as streamlining processes and tools for efficiency in functional, region or local operation.
  • Manages the execution of a programme of medium complexity against agreed programme targets.
  • responsible for project execution performance with respect to financial and operational KPIs such as cost, timelines, revenue, project assets, and customer satisfaction.
  • Interfaces with key stakeholders at business area leadership.
  • Owns and manages customer relationship for assigned scope in services, delivery and performance areas.
  • Ensures contract execution is based on PM@Nokia methodology and applicable BG guidelines and processes.
  • Ensures proper communication to relevant stakeholders for technical requests, emergency cases, outages and project delivery issues.
  • Monitors, reports and optimises services delivery in alignment with relevant processes and tools providing sufficient operational visibility to stakeholders (EG Project Management, PMO, customer).
