This is a great opportunity to be part of Nokia's UX design team. You will play an integral role in creating UX specifications for web-based applications, ensuring they are user-centered and align with Nokia's design system. Your expertise in user-centered design principles will be key in delivering creative and innovative solutions. You will have the chance to contribute both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating strong communication skills and taking the initiative in your design work. Your contributions will help drive consistency and enhance the overall user experience across Nokia’s products.
- Currently a candidate for a Master's, Bachelor’s degree, or Diploma in User Experience Design, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.
- Experience working across disciplines with designers, engineers, developers, and product teams
- A user-centric approach to experience design.
- Experience with UX tools and skills such as Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Miro.
- The ability to clearly communicate results and present suggestions creatively and compellingly.
- A portfolio demonstrating your design methods and rationale behind your solutions.
- Strong visual skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Professionalism with the ability to deliver quality work on tight schedules.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience with design thinking and facilitating workshops & Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
As a part of our team, you will:
- Create UX specifications for web-based applications.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Apply expert knowledge of user-centered design principles.
- Provide creative and innovative problem-solving solutions.
- Take initiative in design work and contribute both unaided and in a team, with strong teamwork skills.
- Learn and apply the Nokia design system to drive consistency in the design you create.
