Senior Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing, processing, and reporting the accounting activities of the relevant organisation in compliance with Nokia's accounting principles, internal controls policies, and reporting procedures as well as with external rules and regulations.

Must have:

  • Master of Science Degree in Economics (Accounting, Finance, Audit)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant accounting working experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel with advanced functions and Power Point content creation skills.
  • Experience in working with some of the finance tools like SAP ByD, other SAP platforms, Hyperion, Redbox, OS and experience using automate tools, like Power Automate, for running some of the accounting processes.
  • Good understanding of financial accounting, fixed assets, Finnish tax and statutory reporting
  • Good knowledge of the associated accounting standards (IFRS/FAS) and/or SOX controls are seen as a bonus.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English, proficient Finnish skills also considered as an advantage.

Nice to have:

  • Ability to execute multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment with excellent follow-up skills.
  • Team player with ability and drive to independently produce deliverables while maintaining strong collaboration with cross-functional teams. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous work experience in the applicable field or in an international setting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Think-Cell and/or BI Solutions is also seen as a bonus.

Please note that this role requires presence at Espoo office and we are not offering relocation for this position.

  • Manages the accounting activities within own area in accordance with the agreed targets.
  • Supports our accounting managers in monthly accounting and reporting tasks.
  • Also coordination of periodical tax and other statutory activities are in core of your responsibilities.
  • Have an opportunity to influence on continuous improvement work by participating in financial processes, reporting and tools development projects
  • Ensures compliance with Nokia accounting principles, internal controls policies and reporting procedures, as well as with external rules and regulations.
