This is a great opportunity to join the Network Architecture Research team at Nokia Bell Labs and contribute to an end-to-end view of modern communication networks, spanning mobile and fixed access, IP and optical transport, and cloud technologies. You will work alongside industry-leading researchers who are shaping the future of human experience through disruptive innovation and advanced research.
  • Strong programming skills: e.g., Python, C++, and similar
  • Knowledge of communication networks
  • Knowledge of cloud computing, e.g., tools like Kubernetes and Docker

Nice to have:

  • Experience with programming switches and network interface cards for custom functionality

  • Experience with training and inference of large language models

  • Knowledge of packet and optical transport networks

  • An understanding of AI/ML methodologies


As part of our team, you will:

  • Work with members of the Bell labs Network Architecture Research team
  • Define and implement software that solves cloud and networking problems
  • Implement proof of concept demonstrations
  • Leverage open-source and cloud software solutions
