As a High-Speed Circuit Board Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our Subsystems Organization, focusing on the design and development of cutting-edge optical interface modules for DWDM (dense wavelength-division multiplexing) transmission systems. As a High-Speed Circuit Board Design Engineer at Nokia, your core mission will be to innovate and enhance optical interface modules for DWDM (dense wavelength-division multiplexing) transmission systems, directly contributing to the development of high-speed coherent optical transmission solutions. By harnessing cutting-edge technologies and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing telecommunications infrastructure, aligning with Nokia's broader mission to enable a sustainable, more connected world. Your efforts in research, design, and prototyping will empower our teams to deliver exceptional products that meet evolving market demands and improve global communications.
  • Master/doctoral degree in physics, electrical engineering or a related field
  • Expertise with optical and RF (radio frequency)/microwave simulation and analysis tools
  • Confident and comfortable in both modeling/simulation and experimental work, with hands-on attitude in supporting design verification and pilot production.
  • Lab experience with high-frequency test setups and measurement equipment desired.
  • Very good English skills fluent in spoken and written.

  • Develop leading-edge packaging platform for high-speed coherent optical transmission systems.
  • Concept development, detailed optoelectronic design including analysis of component and processing tolerances, prototyping and transfer to manufacturing.
  • Engage with both internal and external teams to support new product designs for manufacturing.
