- Solid understanding of hardware electronics concepts
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word\
- Self-confidence, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Perl, Python, TCL, and VBS
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
As a co-op in the hardware group, you will work with a highly experienced hardware development team that designs, builds, and supports hardware solutions for Nokia's routing platforms. You will gain practical hands-on experience working in the lab on the latest prototype circuit boards alongside hardware developers.
As part of our team, you will:
- Verify circuit designs using a variety of test gear: 20 GHz oscilloscopes, network analyzers, interface testers
- Test and debug circuit boards under various thermal and environmental conditions
- Complete the final assembly of new prototype units
- Qualify new circuit components
