Join Nokia as a Hardware Engineering Intern and gain hands‑on experience in high‑speed hardware design. You’ll work in the lab with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and digital debug tools to solve real signal‑integrity challenges, while learning directly from senior engineers on our IP Routing team. Best of all, you’ll contribute to next‑generation Service Router hardware that powers global networks—making a real impact while building your skills!
- Coursework or project experience with high-speed digital design, PCB layout, or signal integrity analysis.
- Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and basic digital debugging techniques.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, self motivation, and the ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Proficiency in a PCB design tool (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, KiCad) and basic simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, HyperLynx).
- Programming/scripting – Experience with Python, Tcl, or MATLAB for automating test setups, data analysis, or generating design scripts.
- Embedded firmware basics – Ability to write or debug simple firmware (C/C++) for microcontrollers or FPGA softcores used in board bringup.
We are seeking motivated, self‑driven undergraduate or graduate students in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline who are eager to gain hands‑on experience in high‑speed hardware design. As part of our team, you will help with:
