As a Lead Technical Project Manager at Nokia, you will lead the technical delivery of NI IP integration and deployment projects from pre-sales to post-project phases, ensuring high-quality and on-time delivery of all technical deliverables. The Project Technical Lead is accountable for the technical success of the project, starting as early as pre-sales in some cases (Market Services review) through delivery and handover to operations and Care. The Project Technical Lead is the primary customer communications interface on technical topics​ and leads the technical aspects of the project across the technical teams/members. Projects range from single domain to multi-domain Nokia (e.g. cross-BU/BG) to multi-domain Nokia and 3rd party solutions with the job grade advancing with complexity and risk profile.

Must Have:

  • 10+ years of extensive relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience including design, build, deploy, migration, troubleshooting & fault-finding, etc.
  • Nokia IP Router portfolio - 7x50 XRS/SR/ESS/SRa and 7705/7210/7250 portfolio
  • Nokia SRA/Virtuoso, Cisco CCIE, Juniper JNCIE or equivalent Certification are a plus.
  • Linux/Unix shell and datacentre networking knowledge

Good to have:

  • Knowledgeable of Virtualisation, SDN & NFV concepts and related technologies.
  • Knowledgeable on E2E Mobile Solutions, Mobile & Packet Core concepts and associated technologies.
  • Knowledgeable in scripting and mastering programming languages and techniques.
  • Knowledgeable of Network Management Systems, networking concepts and related technologies.

  • Leads strategic and highly visible projects that significantly contribute to business impact.

  • Interfaces with sponsors and key stakeholders at the executive level.

  • Owns and manages customer relationships for assigned scope in services, delivery and performance areas.

  • Ensures proper communication to relevant stakeholders for technical requests, emergency cases, outages and project delivery issues.

  • Seeks to define new opportunities to expand and renew contracts with the customer.

  • Act as the primary customer interface for technical communications, addressing project requirements, risks, and escalations effectively.

  • Analyses the feasibility of the service request submitted by the Customer Project Manager in terms of resources, planning and quality to ensure Nokia meets the contractual scope of work, milestones and customer pre-requisites.

  • Lead end-to-end technical delivery management for complex NI IP integration and deployment projects, ensuring high-quality and timely outcomes.

  • Supports end-to-end delivery management of integration/deployment technical deliverables for NI IP Customer Engineering. Owns communication, scheduling, resource management, change management, risk mitigation, escalations, and all other areas of integration/deployment technical delivery.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Pre-Sales, Delivery, and Support, to optimise project execution and enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Determines the causes of any perceived deviation and anticipates risks and evaluates related financial and customer satisfaction impacts.

  • Facilitate technical documentation creation, including HLD, LLD, and TSS, to support integration activities and project compliance.

  • Drive customer issue resolution by identifying roadblocks and leading corrective actions, ensuring feedback loops for continuous improvement.

  • Monitors, reports and optimises service delivery in alignment with relevant processes and tools, providing sufficient operational visibility to stakeholders (EG, Project Management, PMO, customer).

  • Participate actively in project meetings, reviews, and handoff processes to represent the Technical Project Management team effectively.

  • Support the pre-sales phase by aiding in technical planning and contributing to solution architecture proposals, ensuring seamless project initiation.

  • Prepares/contributes and supports the PM to provide a comprehensive deployment status report for project stakeholders on a regular (weekly) schedule.

  • When required, provide support for deployment activities by attending maintenance window work to manage the team and deliverables. Weekend work may be required.

  • Lead the closing and delivery of final project technical documentation.

  • Perform resolution and closing of technical deployment issues.

  • Provide input to Operations Reviews and Lessons Learned

  • Participate in Project Handoff / Knowledge transfer to CARES
