You have:

  • A university-level bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or a related technical field, and at least 7 years of technical writing experience
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills and a good understanding of structured authoring
  • Advanced quality-focused technical writing and research skills to gather, develop, and share user-focused information as part of a global, diverse, and cross-cultural team
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to independently manage competing priorities and work effectively on your own or as part of a team
  • Superior learning skills and aptitude to adapt and thrive in an innovative setting
  • Proven initiative and adaptability to a changing business environment.
  • Advanced analytical skills and specialist knowledge to contribute with creative, non-standard approaches to improve processes and resolve complex problems in a dynamic environment, under high market pressure


It would be nice if you also had:

  • Experience with XML authoring tools (such as oXygen) and content management systems (such as Git)
  • Knowledge of telecommunications or data networking and the ability to quickly acquire domain knowledge through training
  • Experience in working with a command line interface (CLI)
  • Experience with Confluence, JIRA, and SharePoint
  • Experience working with new hardware and software


  • Work independently and in cross-functional teams to develop clearly structured information products with precise and user-focused procedures and essential reference information for the installation, operation, maintenance, and management of Nokia's Network Infrastructure solutions.
  • Follow the defined IPN development process and best practices to create content and graphics for IPN products using state-of-the-art tools, such as XML authoring tools, Content Management Systems (CMS), and server-based production systems.
  • In close collaboration with R&D, product line management (PLM), and other Nokia functional areas, gather the required source information. This includes researching and analyzing source materials; working with product prototypes, command line interfaces (CLIs) or Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs); and leading interviews and technical discussions with subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Accurately and effectively communicate technical information in the English language in a way that is relevant to a global audience.
  • Manage the testing and validation of information products with SMEs.
  • Negotiate operational issues and conduct briefings with senior stakeholders within the job function, when required.
  • Assess customer and internal feedback to update and improve information products.
  • Evaluate business requirements, customer needs, and best practices to validate and develop information designs that meet those needs.
  • Actively contribute to evaluating and developing standards, processes, and information architectures, as required.
  • Coordinate information development activities for individual projects in the team; support and train less-experienced team members; represent the team in project meetings.
  • Continuously share and expand your own technical expertise for assigned products and proactively broaden abilities to leverage a state-of-the-art toolset to develop customer-facing information products
