Nokia Cloud and Network Services, IP Telephony Applications R&D team is seeking a highly motivated SBC engineer to address growing business needs of Nokia Session Border Controller (SBC) product. The SBC offers Service Providers economical and reliable means to secure and control media and signaling streams. Nokia SBC functions as a component within Containerized Network Function (CNF) platforms, strategically positioned at the edge of access networks. Its role encompasses securing diverse IP accesses and facilitating the delivery of all IMS services. Additionally, it extends support for roaming, IMS interconnection, and corporate SIP trunking scenarios within peering networks.

We are seeking a Mid/Senior Software Testers to join our R&D organization. Within our team, you'll collaborate with multinational colleagues in a dynamic R&D environment.
You have:
- Strong experience in software testing min. 5Y
- Good analytical skills especially system robustness verification and validation
- Knowledge about IP networking (protocols, architecture)
- Linux environment knowledge (fluent in terminal mode operations)
- Knowledge about virtualization and cloud infrastructure
- Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), especially Kubernetes
- Testing Automation process and tools (Robot framework)
- Fluency in agile software testing processes, practices, and tools
- Strong interpersonal skills; can work independently but should also enjoy working together with the team
- Quality-first mindset, well-organized, prompt in your tasks and proud of your work
- English - communicative level
It would be nice if you also had:
- Cloud runtime environment (OpenStack, OpenShift)
- Telecom knowledge is a big plus, if not necessary, especially the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS)
- Telecom protocols knowledge is a big plus, especially SIP
- ISTQB certificate will be a plus
- Coding skills will be very appreciated (e.g. Python)
Your primary responsibility will be:
- Integration/functional/system testing
- Lab reconfiguration and provisioning
- Problem troubleshooting & defect management
- Developing & maintaining test documentation (test plans, test strategies, test scripts)
