Join Nokia Bell Labs' Data & Devices Department within the AI Research Lab and work at the forefront of quantum technologies, wireless systems, and biomedical sensing. In this role, you'll design, simulate, and implement advanced devices and architectures for next-generation computing and sensing. You'll develop and test novel quantum systems and apply AI/ML techniques for data interpretation and system optimization. Collaborating with world-class researchers, you'll contribute to innovations, patents, and publications that strengthen Nokia's leadership in emerging technologies.

Join Nokia Bell Labs' Data & Devices Department within the AI Research Lab and work at the forefront of quantum technologies, wireless systems, and biomedical sensing!
You should have:
- Hands-on experience with sensing and spectroscopy systems
- Experience in with opto-electronic integration, fiber optic or microelectronic systems
- Programming skills in Python and/or MATLAB
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience with vector magnetometers
- Familiarity with applications in navigation (e.g., in GPS-denied environments) and/or medical fields (e.g., imaging, vital sign sensing)
Educational Recommendations: Currently a candidate for a Ph.D. program in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Nanotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Contribute to cutting-edge research in NVD-based quantum sensing and the miniaturization of opto-electronic systems
- Design and integration of a tabletop NVD detector into a compact vector magnetometer
- Explore applications of highly sensitive magnetic field detection such as indoor/outdoor magnetic mapping or non-contact magneto-cardiography
- Contribute to technical publications, presentations, and patents on your work
